Manchester Chinese Education Cultural Community Centre Chinese School Safety and Hygiene Rules

1 - School starts - school starts at 11.30 am on Sundays. Our teachers and staff welcome pupils from 11.15 am at the school entrance. Parents are responsible for the pupils until they have been received by our teachers or staff. Our school is not liable for pupils’ safety outside our school premises.

2 - Punctuality - parents must apply in advance for permission from the class tutor for pupils’ lateness or early departure.

3 - School ends - Teachers of 2nd year or below will hand over pupils to parents in the school courtyard at 2.25 pm. Parents must inform teachers in advance if they have deputised other adults to receive their pupils. All other classes end at 2.30 pm and pupils under 14 years old should be met by parents in the school courtyard. Our school strongly against pupils of less than 18 years waiting for their parents outside the school premises.

4 - Break times - There are 2 break-times. All pupils must go to the canteen during their specified break-time. Pupils can bring simple meals like sandwiches and cakes but not take away food nor carbonated drinks to school. Disobedient pupils will be reprimanded.

5 - Safety - pupils are only allowed to enter their classrooms and the canteen. Pupils are not allowed to run nor shout in the school premises and pupils are not allowed to climb on any furniture, windowsills, banisters or any building structure, nor the trees in the school garden.

6 - Hygiene - pupils can consume food and drink in the canteen during their break-times but not anywhere else. All rubbish must be carefully disposed in the specified waste bins. Everybody must keep the school premises clean and tidy, flush the toilets and turn the taps off after use, must not play with water, or throw rubbish on the floor.

7 - Discipline - pupils must not run, shout, play ball-games or skate-boards in the school premises. Pupils must not touch or use anything that does not belong to our Chinese School. Pupils’ parents are responsible for any damage caused by their pupils.

8 - Security - only our school staff, teachers and pupils are allowed in our school premisses, nobody else is permitted to enter our school premisses unless approved and accompanied by our school staff. All offenders will be reprimanded.

10 - Conflicts - conflicts between pupils and parents will be dealt by school staff. Parents must not confront other parents. Any severe cases will be reported to the police.

12 - Car Parking - everybody must park their cars in suitable spaces without obstructing traffic or inconveniencing residents from entering or leaving their houses. Please be considerate and move on quickly to allow other cars to drop off or pick up their passengers.

13 - School fees - school fees for year 2023-2024 are £260 per student (including an Enrolment Fee of £40). The school Bank details are: Account Name: CECCC, Sort Code: 40-31-42, Account Number: 80050342. Please provide the pupil’s name and class as a reference (e.g. Jacky Chen - Year 2). School fees are non-refundable after 2 weeks of enrolment. Parents are responsible for paying the fees, which will only be partially refunded in very special cases.

14 - Agreement - everybody should obey the above rules. After reading the rules and enrolling in the school, parents and pupils agree to the rules. Any offender could be expelled from our school without notice and without any fees refunded.
